What Girls?
Obviously, the ratio at RPI is a common topic of discssion. It usually bothers guys more than it does girls, though. If you are female, you tend to be blessed with the ability to get into any party you want.

Academics
RPI has many great academic programs. There are also many resources in place such as free counseling and free 24/7 tutoring. The Student Union is really liberal in the way it is run...pretty much anyone can make a club and there are numerous activities which you can join.

The buildings on campus tend to lack aesthetic appeal, especially on the inside. It is not uncommon to see concrete walls in the labs and nearly every building has exposed pipes and wires on the ceilings. Some of the facades are nice, though.

There's definitely a good amount of diversity on campus and everyone is pretty accepting.

RPI Medal
Unless you win the RPI Medal Scholarship, financial aid tends to be terrible. Even then, it is very expensive to attend this school.
