Parties Every Weekend
parties can be found on DP everyday of the weekend - starting thursday night. for the best parties, you have to know somebody to get in, but there are plenty of parties that anyone can get into.

Greek Life Exists
but its super important. some people are into it, some aren't, and either way it isn't a big deal. they don't dominate the social scene.

Tons of Facilities
there are lots of great facilities. a lot of people use the gym, there are multiple pools on campus. the ucen is a great place to study, also has food stores as well as the campus store/bookstore. the library is 8 stories high, lots of great places to study, lots of books

Pretty Much Just Buses
there are buses that go to goleta and santa barbara (state street). students ride the bus for free. if you want to go anywhere else, you'll have to take a bus to a train, which can be pricy. the buses run til pretty late, but not forever, so if you're not careful you might end up having to take a taxi home.
