Pretty Safe
I actually feel safe here at Old Dominion because there are literally cops everywhere you go! They also provide the public and escort safety service if you do not feel safe walking home alone at night. Use it, they are very friendly and will take you any where you need to go! Also, always keep your doors and computers locked up. Never walk alone at night in Norfolk!! You should always have a sober friend with you at night if you are ever drunk.

Avoid the Dining Halls!
Well at least Rogers and Cafe 1201! I avoid those two dining halls as possible! However, Legends in Whitehurst has the best dining hall on campus, and the staff is super friendly! It may be smaller than Cafe 1201, but in all honesty...food is better. POD Market in the quad is a popular place, which is on of the three convience stores and flex points can be used there as well. They have everything! We also have chick-fil-a, and everyone loves it!

The only drugs that are really used on campus is alcohol and marijuana. There have been rumors that some frats will spike drinks with Roofies. I haven't seen of or heard of other drug use on campus

Growing Greeks
The Greeks have definitely become more of a big deal this year. They do really good things for the community! It really is a great way to get involved at ODU and make new friends.
