Diversity
Villanova really does live up to its "Vanillanova" stereotype. However, while most people believe that all the non-whites on campus are athletes that is not completely true. At parties there is little diversity, but I think that is also just a reflection of the very little diversity that the school itself offers. As for economic background I know I at first assumed everyone was at least upper middle class but that is just not true. Yes there are many wealthy people, but there are also average to poorer people at Villanova. Overall, Villanova is definitely not the most diverse of places; however, there really is a place for everyone.

Transportation
Transportation is great at Villanova. The campus is fairly small so it's easy to get to and from classes, but if you are living on West or South Campus and don't feel like making the small trek to Main campus a shuttle is offered every 30 minutes. There is also a shuttle that drives around the Villanova area, I haven't used that as much but it seems pretty reliable. As for getting in to Philadelphia that is very easy either taking the R500 straight to 30th St.Station for only $6 one way or $11 two ways or taking the R100 for $3 and another train for no more than $2. On weekends taxi's roam around the campus and will be there promptly if you call. Overall, transportation is easy to access and cheap.

Financial Aid
Villanova doesn't just throw out money, but they do offer a solid Work-Study program where you work and your salary either goes towards your tuition or that is spending money. I haven't heard many complaints about it, but it also is not really something people just bring up in everyday situations.
