A for Aesthetics
In general, Dickinson College has exceptional facilities. The library always houses a spotless shine and includes everything from study rooms containing TVs, DVD players, and dry erase boards, to movie watching rooms to a café for those in need of a boost to a study room dedicated solely for students majoring in East Asian studies.
The athletic facilities on campus are admirable. We have an half olympic sized pool, a fitness center that includes plenty of weight lifting and running machines, and a huge gym housing the official basketball court.
Dickinson takes pride in its appearance. The campus itself is breath taking. Even on a rainy day like today, the beautiful, matching stone structures compensate and give the perfect air of academia. Floors adorn the entrances of the central campus activity building.
Overall, a beautiful school with great facilities.

Three Letters: DPS
Department of Public safety is the biggest hassle on campus at Dickinson College. They are basically the alcohol police. If you can follow a three simple rules you can manage to have a blast and not get caught. 1. Be smart. This entails keeping your doors shut, windows closed, alcohol out of site, and drunk friends out of harms way. 2. Be relatively quiet. Noise complaints are the number one reason DPS comes trolling around. If you live in a dorm, there is most likely no problem as the walls are thick and many kids are most likely hanging out at late hours. However, living in an on-campus house or off campus house could potentially mean getting a knock on your door from a DPS officer who received a complaint from Grandma next door. 3. Be smart. I know I said this, but honestly, you can avoid most problems with DPS if you just think a little bit before getting your party on.
For those who don't drink, Dickinson has plenty of weekend options. Dances at the Depot are always a hot spot, sometimes they are themed. Movies are shown in academic buildings on the weekends, sometimes pertaining to a certain club or group or sometimes just to watch Russell Crow kick ass in Gladiator.

C for Cold
If you like winter and snow then Dickinson is not bad. However, here in Carlisle, PA it gets cold early and stays cold. Snow can be seen coming down as early as late November but sticks around when the students get back from winter break and lasts until late February / early March.
