Small Low-Key Town

Swarthmore is a relatively plain and simple residential town, with a few pizza places, a library, a co-op, and a bank. The town seems to be pretty friendly with students, though some teenagers of Swarthmore don't exactly mesh with students. In the larger area around Swarthmore, there are many restaurants, a movie theater, and colleges around the Philadelphia area (especially Haverford and Bryn Mawr) are pretty close.
