Clubs Are for Residents – The vast majority of club meetings are in the evenings, better for resident students than commuters. Commuters taking the bus won't be able to attend club meetings.

Alvernia University Overall Experience was reviewed by pwnygirl

Active Social Life – Alvernia has a great student body. Very friendly, very accepting. And there are plenty of events and fun things to do. Keep an eye on the walls in the commuter lounge and the table tents in the cafeteria and you'll never be without something to do.

Alvernia University Transportation was reviewed by pwnygirl

Shuttle and City Bus – There's public and student transportation options at Alvernia. There's a shuttle that loops around the main campus and includes the Upland Center. The city bus also stops right in front of campus, so you can get to Reading easily.

Alvernia University Campus Strictness was reviewed by pwnygirl

I haven't noticed much in the way of strictness. Alvernia is a drinking permitted campus. I am not a resident student, so I drink at home.

Alvernia University Diversity was reviewed by pwnygirl

Diverse 'Vern – The diversity is pretty nice on campus. One of my closest friends is an international student from Nigeria. And a big shocking detail is I've found a few religious skeptics on Alvernia's catholic campus.

Alvernia University Local Atmosphere was reviewed by pwnygirl
B+

Reading Area – Alvernia is near the city of Reading PA. There's not much to see in Reading, but there are a few hidden gems. A short drive away is West Reading, a shopping district with boutique shops and unique restaurants. There's also a local museum and planetarium.
