Family Oriented, but College Feel
Norman, Oklahoma is a smaller town, but compact. It is an excellent place to grow up and go to college. The atmosphere is family oriented and homey, but also offers the college town atmosphere. Norman has "Campus Corner" which offers unique shops, restaurants and bars. That is what makes Norman so great, it is unique. You cannot beat football game days in Norman. Campus Corner is closed off and people are everywhere having a blast before the game. It is all about the experience. Even away from campus there are tons of boutiques, shops, fun restaurants and great people. I would recommend Norman to anyone.

Transportation Is Above Average
The University of Oklahoma offers buses and trolleys, but they are only convenient if you live near or around the bus stop. They do run all day long and on a time schedule which is ideal. The university also has a "safe ride" service that you can call at night. They will pick you up free of charge and take you home from the bar-no questions asked.

Health Field Internships Hard to Come by
I am a health science major with plans to go on to physical therapy or physician's assistant school. Internships for such major are hard to find. But my best advice is to find jobs that will involve you in the health field and get some patient interaction. Those types of jobs are typically flexible, knowing that you are a student and offer pay as well.
