Trinity Transports Not So Tricky
Trinity is an island in the city of Hartford. Unless you need to buy something at the mall or Walmart, go downtown to see a show or movie, or want to dine off campus, you'll probably stay on campus. Shuttles can take you around campus late night during the week and weekend, or you can walk. Trinity also offers free student shuttles off campus during certain hours during the week but they stick pretty close to the campus. Buses around the city don't run on the most convenient timetable, but Trinity gives students a free bus pass that can be easily be fun to use, or if you have no desire to take the bus, it is easy to make friends with an upperclassman who has a car. If you need to go to the airport, Trinity offers shuttles just before breaks though a taxi to the central bus stop in town is also a decent choice.

Computers Not a Hassle
The computer labs on campus have always had open seats every time I have ventured there. The only hassle there is printing--the printers are a bit moody at times and may not get you your paper on time if you're in a crunch--so if you need to print but can't in your room, print your paper as far in advance as possible. Trinity gives its students some printing dollars each semester, so a personal printer is not always necessary pending your style of turning in assignments. The wireless network on campus takes a few minutes to figure out when you first connect your computer, but after that, it's available everywhere on campus. The network is pretty fast and any down time is announced pretty far in advance. All the students I know have their own computers, but mine broke freshman year and I went about a month without one just fine aside from the frequent stops at the library to check my e-mail. The personal need for a computer on campus really depends on the courses you take.

Sports Complement Academics
Trinity has a decent NESCAC standing-the team performances range from average to reigning champions. However, as academic interests are seen as equally important, Trinity is not a sports-centered school though they're heartily supported. There is a lot of school pride for "Da Trin" and some fans are guaranteed to show up to every game. The athletic facilities are very nice and renovated frequently because of their constant use. The sports community tends to bond well and have party cliques by team. There are also intramural leagues, but they fly a little under the radar.

Well-Rounded and Personal Experience
As Trinity is a small school, if you don't know someone's name, you know his or her face. It's hard to be anonymous. Classes are intimate and professors really care about their students. The First Year Seminar and Gateway Programs offer students intensives in fascinating topics to jumpstart college interactions academically and socially. Students here dabble in all of their interests--each person does a bit of everything. The dorms at Trinity are super nice and housing is generally guaranteed for all four years. Classrooms and other resources, such as the library are full of helpful, readily available and convenient materials. In general, the beautiful campus only has one building that is considered aesthetically unpleasant, but even that one has some appeal. Socially, Trinity is full of diverse, well dressed and multi-talented students that work hard and play hard. Weekend night life is centered around the frat parties on campus. The only downsides to campus life are the minimal incentives to explore Hartford and do so conveniently, and the food service, which is steadily improving.
