Beauty Over Brawn
For the two years I have been at Hanover, I have been perturbed by the fact that the school's disbursement of money seems to nearly always lean toward campus beautification over the quality of the facilities. Especially with the dormitories. For example, Wiley Hall has many things broken that will not be fixed because the budget for repairs is too small. But the Kissing Stone plaque that got stolen, that was replaced very quickly.

Discouraged
With a strong "Go Green" initiative on campus, the administration and various organizations are pushing for a pedestrian-only campus. But for now, there is parking all over the place. Though the number of spots specifically labeled for students apart from dorm parking is seriously limited.

Great Professors, Great Community
Apart from crappy housing and crappy cafeteria food, Hanover has a distinctively familial feel to it. With only 1000 students, everyone knows everyone, and the Student Life staff is completely maternal towards us. I have become great friends with most of the professors in my department, and consider most of the professors at Hanover to be top rate, great people, and great teachers.
