Off Campus Housing: It's a Gamble

In general, living off campus near campus is good. The variety and availability of housing options are great. However, the closer the house is to campus the better because you are less likely to have to deal with a break-in. Do some research about the landlord, some are great but others are a nightmare. If you live near campus walking will be your best option, but if you live further away it may be a good idea to get a bike. You may also purchase a parking permit, but they are pricey!

Have Fun, Don't Go Crazy

Gonzaga basically has a 3 strikes policy, if you get caught a couple times you may have to take a class on a weekend or do something similar. Once you cross the line the consequences can become more severe. On campus parties are more likely to get broken up, but only the people who are responsible will get in trouble. Off campus parties are less likely to get broken up, and even if they do the first offense is handed over to the school from the police. If you get caught a second time you may face thousands of dollars in fines.
