Big Town/Small Town Environment
Tuscaloosa has a very unique atmosphere. It has the charms of a small town while acting like a big city when it needs to. Everyone says football season down here is the best, but I actually like it in the spring a lot better. The football frenzy has died down, and students get to see what Tuscaloosa really has to offer. From visiting the ruins at Capitol Park to trying out various ethnic restaurants, Tuscaloosa has so much more to offer than a sighting of Nick Saban at Starbucks.

B-
Halfway There
The University of Alabama offers on-campus buses from 7AM-11PM every day, and when they're not running, 348-RIDE will take you anywhere on campus and even down to the Strip. Parking is terrible on campus, however. There seem to be a few things (such as student employee parking) that the University really needs to fix, but as a whole, the school is doing a great job. There is also a shuttle service offered for out-of-state students who need to fly home during winter break.

Be Yourself
Be yourself. Don't be afraid to ask questions. UA has the top programs in PR and advertising. All you have to do is be interested and passionate about whatever you're studying. Getting in is the easy part. It's staying in that can be difficult sometimes.
