Excellent Food, Friendly Service!
We have an excellent dining experience at St. Olaf. Our food is great quality and there are both reliable and healthy options as well as a rotating menu to chose from. Food is served with a smile!

Smart!
The guys at St. Olaf are extraordinarily smart. There is a great diversity...LOVE the music majors! (But there are a lot of gay guys on campus) Girls are smart too, and there are a lot of artsy dressers.

A Perfect Fit!
I love St. Olaf. Teachers really care about you, and the campus is small enough to get around quickly but large enough to see new people every day. The food is awesome!!! I love that I've been able to customize my own major. If you want to party, you can, but if you want to avoid it, it's really easy. I feel in LOVE with the library. I also met my boyfriend here. Music majors are so wonderful, and there are lot of them here!

Northfield Is Fantastic!
Northfield is a small college town, but there are plenty of things to do in town. There are local festivals, theater productions and art festivals. The town residents and college students have a really good relationship, and the local churches provide buses to services.

Hogan Brothers- good food (especially ice cream), great PRICES
The Tavern- great for date night OR breakfast!
Goodbye Blue Monday- funky atmosphere, great for homework
Bittersweet- cute atmosphere, delicious
Chapati's- good Indian food

Good Community, Small Rooms
Freshman dorms are VERY small, oftentimes rooms built for singles house two students. Rooms are better as you get to upperclassmen, but DO NOT get into the tower dorms, as they are loud and echo-y. However, the community atmosphere is very strong. Dorm-sponsored parties are fun and provide free food!

Pretty Good!
Health services are decently fast and relatively inexpensive. Campus security is EXCELLENT. I feel very safe on campus and people feel comfortable leaving their bags in the hallway outside the cafeteria.

Everything Is Possible!
I totally love our diversity of on campus groups! We have swing and ballroom dance clubs, Baha'i club, "gay, lesbian or whatever!" club, Bible studies, pick-sports, broomball (a personal favorite!). You want it, you can find it here. And if you can't find it, you can get funds to start your own club!
