Molecular Biology and the Opportuities
Being an Molecular Biology major at the University of Illinois is quite interesting. The variety of courses available for the major are endless and the teachers really put time into helping the studuents. Although the curriculum is time consuming the quality of the information you receive is well worth it. In this major it gives you many opportunities to interact with the faculty and really cater to what you are trying to get from it. There is a large research department in the school and it offers many different types of topics that you can do research on. Teachers are looking for students to help with their research and it makes it easy for students to receive a position from teachers. Also you get to know the teachers on a personal level and this can give you connections to other departments and can help you land jobs in the near future.

The Ups and Downs of the Dining Hall
The dining hall is a great place to eat food. There are many different dorms and each of them has a specific type of food they have regularly. Each night of the week also has a specialty night at a select dorm. The specialties range from Asian cuisine night, soul food night, and BBQ night, just to name a few. My favorite was the soul food night because they had some of the best macaroni and cheese ive ever had. The downside with the dorm food is that it gets old very quickly.

An Array of International Students
Though our school is predominately white we still have a small amount of international students. Most of them coming from either Korea or India. This makes the school slightly more cultural. Many of the international students only associate with other international students from their country.
