Cruiser!
The cruiser is great during the daytime rush to class during the week and at 3am when everyone's leaving the jug, but other than that I'm pretty sure it's completely lawlessness. The cruisers do not come on time or follow any schedule or route that makes any sense.

People who love Colgate REALLY love Colgate and people who don't REALLY don't. I do think there's more of the former though. Colgate is truly for preppy white kids from New England. If that's not your reality, you'll probably really dislike being here. I only regret coming here during the weekend since I hate frats, beer and house music. During the week, however, I'm really glad I chose such an great place to study. Professors are incredible, classes are amazing and once you get to higher level classes, you really will learn among some of the brightest young people in the nation.

Boring
Hamilton, NY is the most boring place on this planet. There are so many things I took for granted coming from New York City that are simply luxuries up here. Hamilton has all the bare necessities (and I mean ABSOLUTE BARE). You won't find any mall for 40 minutes and the closest 24 hour anything is close, but a car ride away. If you like things like city life and culture, STAY AWAY FROM COLGATE. It's incredibly isolated and if you don't have a car you will be incredibly stir crazy.

Wonderfully Wasteful
I don't know one person who doesn't have a computer here, but there are hundreds of computers everywhere. There are Mac and PC options all over campus with free printing everywhere. Wireless can be spotty depending on where you are, but for the most part it's reliable and you can access it everywhere. All the dorm rooms have ethernet jacks in the event that you're really struggling.

Hamilton is the opposite of anything city-like so you won't find a plethora of restaurants with exotic menus here. There's pizza, pizza, and more pizza. When you get sick of pizza, you can get wings. When you're feeling fancy, you can go get Indian or Mexican food. If you're from a big city that has great international food, you'll probably be unimpressed with the selection as even the Chinese food up here is pretty terrible in comparison to New York City.
