Seems Safe Enough
I haven't felt unsafe and safety was a big topic during orientation. The campus is well lit at nite and the unseemly types down along Colfax seem to stay away. Not as much can be said for Colfax Ave just outside of campus however...

Strictness
There is really no on-campus housing or late-night action on this campus, so it is pretty mellow. The big thing is honor code and cheating - no room for leniency there.

Kind of Out in the Sticks
Campus is very nice, but it is out in the 'burbs in a not so great area.

Diversity Ok - Acceptance and Efforts to Expand Good
Pretty white but lots of effort to expand diversity and pretty universal acceptance of diversity.

Health Care School
All degrees at the Anschutz campus are medical-related so lots of activities/events around that - otherwise pretty limited.

Don't Get Too Excited
There are a few fast food outlets servicing the hospitals and school but not anything too great. I'd go to The Children's Hospital cafeteria for decent food at decent price - even better if you have a TCH ID w/ the discount.

Lots of Serious Health Students
If you're looking for the traditional college atmosphere, go elsewhere. Most of the students are mad busy and not really interested in traditional college socializing - they are studying to be doctors, nurses, pharmacists, etc.

Parking Is Pretty Easy
Parking is cheap at $5 max/day or about $35/month. It is about a two minute walk max from classes.
