Intended Major: Psychology
I'm not officially in my major yet, but UW's application process and information regarding admission into various majors is very clear/organized. There are many great web and physical resources to understand the process involved. Thanks to these resources, I feel comfortable understanding the requirements and expectations of applicants hoping for admission into the Psych major.

Alcohol in the Dorms
Students get away with partying in the dorms fairly often. But if you're caught with alcohol in the dorms you can face some pretty strict regulations. Depending on the situation you'll most likely have to deal with resident advisers and directors, and appear in front of a peer board (like court) or write an essay for your first offense. Second offense can result in permanent removal from the residence halls. I would recommend finding places outside the dorms to party if you feel the need, but if you MUST, then keep it on the DL!

Reminders About Deadlines
UW was good about communicating with students via email to remind them about important deadlines. I was well informed (but not overwhelmed) with messages in my inbox letting me know when to have Financial Aid applications completed so I wouldn't run into any unnecessary inconveniences.
