UC Is Okay
The University Center gets pretty busy during the day but is dead when classes aren't in session. There's a convenient food court, a nice outdoor patio, and a pool that's open year round. However, it's an older building that could use a few upgrades. It's great during the day though to go relax, meet up with friends, grab a bite to eat, or get a tan.

Best Nightlife for Any School
Nightlife at University of Miami revolves around the Grove, South Beach, and Downtown Miami. There are so many venues, bars, and clubs you can experience. While the scene requires you to be 21 or get a hold of a fake ID, it is extremely fun and exciting. Getting to and from is a bit annoying. There is a shuttle from campus to the Grove on Thursday and Friday nights, but anywhere else you need a cab or car.

Process Could Be Better
Prior to coming to UM, I received an academic scholarship which was easily attainable. However, after I wanted a job for work study, I appealed and they denied; which I had to call to ask about because they "forgot" to call me about it. I haven't dealt with them much but my friends who have needed to deal with financial aid say that it is always a complete hassle.
