Great Diversity, Not the Best
There are a wide range of peoples, race and personality wise. The gender ratio is about even as well, or not noticeable. Campus is ridden with dorks and nerdy jocks and hippies, sprinkled with greek-types. There is general acceptance and comradeship between disparate social groups as well. I think that is because Davis is such a college town, full of educated liberals, not to mention fools. That said, campus also has great bio diversity.

Not a Big Deal
Drugs are abundant mainly because it is a college town, but really, this is just life, c'mon. If you want to drink, you can. AND, it's not a big deal because it is a part of life and mature humans need to learn how to live with or live without drugs on their own level. The drug scene here is natural/normal. No one is in your face about it, but the authorities do their jobs when things are clearly out of hand.

There are so many labs and research facilities on campus. This picture shows a lab member wearing a clean room suit because the lab is dedicated to fabrication and research on the nanoscale.
