Lawlessness
The university isn't too strict. If anything they should probably be MORE strict. They did ban first years from greek houses for the first semester my freshmen year but I think that was an isolated incident.

if you don't have a car, you're limited to the cruiser and your feet. if those two things can't get you there, you're not going. period.

Top Notch!
Professors are incredible. classes are incredible. you definitely won't graduate with any useful skills, but you knew that when you signed up for a liberal arts college. I do wish we didn't have a core and distribution requirements though. It adds up to 11 classes that you wouldn't have wanted to take anyway.

We're in the middle of nowhere. There's no crime. Everyone leaves their doors unlocked and it's never an issue.

Colgate is incredibly generous and will give you boatloads of money to come here if they think you're worth it.
