Dangerous Streets for Students
Off-campus housing is quite awful. While it provides a break from the RA's writing you up, the neighborhood makes living off campus an unattractive option. The crime rate is high and students do get mugged more often than not. Unfortunately, some of the houses off-campus are on very dangerous streets.
Living off-campus breaks you off from accessing on-campus services from both the buildings and grounds department. Hence, a broken window off-campus requires either the student's efforts in fixing it or having a repair man come to replace it. Living off-campus also means that the campus's IT center can't help with a failed cable connection or weak internet access.
Living off-campus isn't even cheaper, really. The costs that go into paying for cable, food, heating, etc, really makes off-campus housing a hassle and no less expensive than living on-campus.
My grade is an F.

Not the Worst, but Bad
The drug scene here isn't as bad as it might be in other schools. However, there is no doubt that you'll see plenty of kids smokin' a blunt with their bros each and every night.
Drinking on-campus is much more blatant, since the college even funds some parties. Many people here drink and feel that it is a great way to socialize.
Despite all this, there is very little peer pressure to either drink or smoke. People respect your views on substance usage, and that makes fitting in slightly less awkward.
As for the policy enforcement, there is virtually none. Once in a while, the Campus Safety department may speak to a student in a harsh manner, empty out the alcohol bottle in a student's hand, or something like that. These usually always take the form of warnings though. There is no real serious repercussion that I've seen which deal with substance usage.

If It Snows, It Shows
Trinity copes very well with the weather, in general. However, being a New England school, it does get the worse part of snow storms. The snow doesn't affect the students so much, since the campus is quite small, but many classes end up being cancelled since professors may or may not decide to show up for class. It is sometimes very nice to see the nice blanket of white spread across the main quad, though.
Speaking of snow, it does get cold up in New England. Very cold. The cold keeps you very comfortable in your snug blanket, with your hot chocolate never too far from your side.
But the weather doesn't really affect living on campus much. The classes are generally close to the dorms, so snow isn't an obstacle for the students. The cold makes one reluctant to leave bed but, once one is out, it is easy to go from class to class, braving the blustery winds as you do so.
