Red Hook
I grew up in Red Hook, and still decided to attend Bard College. I love this town, but I'm obviously biased. It's cute and sweet and has everything one could need, coming from someone who's used to living a small town life style. Kids in my dorm from the city are itching for more excitement, and ways to get around and do things. But for me, I'm perfectly content.

Wide Range
Bard is really annoying about housing. It's one of the MOST expensive schools in the country, but none of that is reflected in the dorms. I'm living in a trailer. Bard has some really great dorms, and some horrible dorms, like the one i'm in... but there's always hope for next year. The dorm assignment system is completely randomized, so you never know where you'll end up.

They're Everywhere...
Drugs are EVERYWHERE at bard... you can obviously choose not to partake, but they are still everywhere, and there may be many occasions where almost everyone around you is high.. all the time... it's insane. I don't do drugs so I just watch it all happen, which is kind of funny, but if being around drugs makes you uncomfortable, bard probably isn't a great choice for you.
