Very conservatively dressed, rarely any sweat pants or sweat shirts, men and women dress nicely for classes

Need for a Car on Campus
No need unless you have an internship, although it is convenient for off-campus dining, shopping, etc. However, there's a shuttle that takes you to Harvard Square where it's easy to access these amenities.
