Diligent Meter Maids

Permits are expensive, but normal for a university. If your meter runs out, you will almost certainly be ticketed because the campus police stay very diligent on the meters. If you live on campus, you don't need a car. If you live off campus, a car is not necessary, but is convenient. Must have a car if staying off campus during summer. No public transit during summer.

Stay Patient

Financial aid office is pretty good about posting the financial aid you receive quickly. Calling often yields lots of holding. Decent amount of auto scholarships if you have good grades or act scores. If you know your major coming in, apply for departmental scholarships. Many of these are freshman only and easy to get since many come in undeclared.
