I'm originally from Chico. I'm used to an extremely loud and obnoxious party scene. Davis has it fair share of parties and the nice thing is that they aren't out of control. Students can still get plastered if they want to on the weekend, but they're also able to stay in and not be disturbed by the sounds of Frat Row.

I'd Like a Double-Decker Please
Davis had six double decker buses transported from London to specifically have on campus to increase bus size and allure. They're fun to see riding around and a bus comes nearly every ten minutes. All the buses are free with a student ID card. Very useful.

Eco-Friendly
Davis loves the environment. Not only is the university, but the town is also eco-friendly. Davis supports riding bikes everywhere to decrease CO2 pollution. The town is beautiful and on a warm spring day, the green rolling lawns are covered in college students laying out, doing homework while soaking up some Vitamin D.

The mascot for Davis is the "Aggie." Aggie comes from "agriculture." Davis started out as an agricultural college, and then it grew into the university that it is today. People mainly know Davis because of its extensive work with cows.
