Bioengineering: pretty light workload the first year- we have less calculus than almost all the other engineers! The related clubs are a little anemic but they do exist and have potential. Actually, there are a lot of clubs here not to mention all the outdoorsy things people come here for. I don't like some of the systems we have to use, but such as life.

Meh
I really haven't gone off campus to eat. I have a 5 day meal plan, so eat on campus most of the time. The other days, I'm a bum and snack on things I've collected during the week or go to events with free food. But I've heard good things about lots of places within walking distance- plus there's the free bus for the rest of town. Decent student discounts, such as 10% off at IHOP.

Montana= Crazy and Cold
Lots of snow, lots of cold. For a 10 minute walk across campus, usually not a problem. However, it tends to warm up on nice days and freeze at night so ice is a big problem. More people walk off the sidewalks during winter than anytime else because the inches of snow have better traction. Cross-country skiers are not uncommon.
I love it.
