Local Atmosphere at University of Utah

A+

A Place for Everyone in Every Season

Salt Lake City is well known for its proximity to "the greatest snow on earth." Wintertime shows masses of people hitting the slopes and enjoying some awesome skiing and snowboarding. In Summer you'll usually find people at the lakes, or hiking, mountain biking and overall just enjoying the outdoors. You can catch a Utah Jazz game or head on up the University of Utah for a PAC 12 League football game. Many museums and art exhibits please people of all crowds. Salt Lake is the headquarters for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for those interested in researching faith. Lots of space and close proximity to so much makes Salt Lake City a great place to be.

Academics at University of Utah

A

Well Rounded and Vibrant

The University of Utah is the flagship institution for the state of Utah. It is most well known for its medical school, cancer research institution (Huntsman), and of course its football team. It is well respected for its music and arts programs, and its engineering and computer science programs are top notch. Professors are drawn to the university from all over the world, and considering its a research college that's no surprise. The registration staff is amazing, always willing to help out and take time for the individual. It has one of the best libraries around with a massive book collection in a new, massive building.
