Majors

Northridge offers a wide variety of majors, but, going off of the people that I have encountered, a few of the most popular would be biological sciences and communication studies. I believe that the communications major is larger than biology, and would say that this school is very good for someone who desires this as a major.

Greeks Life

I have not heard much about any of the fraternities or sororities on campus, so I don't imagine that have any significant impact on students who are not members. I do know that many hold standards for grades and hold study sessions, which has a very good impact of the grades of the members.

Commuting

I commute to Northridge for school, and I have not enjoyed the experience at all. Traffic is an every day occurrence because the city is very busy and populated, and so many people commute to this school that the parking lots are always full and difficult to fins an open spot in. Driving into this city for school is not preferable to living on campus.

Police Services

I would have given this section an A- if the phone that I lost on campus a week ago had been returned, but besides that fact, security on campus is very good. There are campus police patrolling regularly, and they even help students who seem lost to find their way. They are quick to respond to emergencies, as I learned last week also when a student passed out in one of my classes. They also offer protection to students who need to walk to their cars alone at night.
