Off-Campus Dining at Elon University

A+

Everything and Anything on a College Budget

There are tons of different types of off-campus dining, from traditional chains like Applebee's, Mimi's Cafe, Panera etc. But there are a lot of really great local places, too. Village Grill is my favorite... they do great seafood and it's a nice date location. Hursey's BBQ is a town favorite for their famous barbeque, and Bill Clinton ate their when he visited campus. The local establishments are warm and friendly, and everything's reasonably priced. You wouldn't be a true Elon student if you didn't frequent Cookout for a 3-am milkshake during finals week, or any other time. I'd recommend Oreo Mint.

Athletics at Elon University

A

Well-Dressed, Spirited Students Who Are All Athletes

Football games used to only be populated by people at Greek Life tailgates... but in the last decade our teams have been doing extremely well, especially football, soccer, baseball and women's softball. Elon bleeds maroon and gold, you'll see it everywhere you go. The campus shop has incredible gear, even Polo. The workout facility is open until 1 am and opens again at 6am, so you can never have an excuse not to go. We have our own student personal trainers, and 40 group excersice classes per week which are unlimited for only $20 a year. Intramural and Club sports are really popular, and so is Sportsfest, which is essentially an iron-man type competition done in teams every Fall.

Overall Experience at Elon University

A+

Ultimate Student Experience Meets Real-World Application

Elon is the best thing that ever happened to me. It's a unique place because you will be an academic, with an incredible global knowledge, while also serving the community, doing required internships, research, and studying abroad at least once... all while participating in student organizations and still getting coated in mud and having a blast at Festivus in the spring. (Facebook search it.) Students here do more than the average college student, our facilities are incredible, Princeton Review says we're one of the prettiest campuses in the country, and we send almost all of our students abroad. You'll work hard, play hard, and have a killer resume when you leave here. This place will never leave you. It changed my life.
