Elon Is the Town
Elon is basically the town of Elon. It seems as if the only reason the town exists is for the university at times. Even the cop cars are maroon and gold, our school colors. The restaurants for the most part take "phoenix cash", there are tons of apartments and houses off campus where students live, and theres everything you need in town. Burlington is really close though and it definitely has a lot to offer. If your a freshman like me, you can take the bio bus to a mini mall with target, old navy, and a plethora of other useful places, and you can also go to Alamance crossing, which is more like an outdoor mall with select stores like sephora and american eagle that college students would probably like more. There isnt a clubbing or concert scene AT ALL, NO CITY LIFE- so if you are into that beware. But the town of Elon's small charm just adds to the feeling of community.

Great!
Greek Life is something that almost everyone wants to get involved in at Elon. Im a girl currently going through rush and there are 9 sororities which is quite a bit. Despite some dumb stereotypes, all of them definitely have something to offer and as far as i know almost everyone enjoys it. It is also good because though it is a big part of Elon life, you can be involved in many many things at once.

New England + 15 or So Degrees
This is the simplest way to phrase it. Add about an average 10 degrees to New England (massachusetts) weather and there you go. We have hot summers that get into the 90s and 100s, but the fall is around 70 and 60. It is my first year here so I havent experienced much winter, but so far (december) it usually gets into the 50s and 60s by midday but you still need to wear tons of layers. For some reason, 60 here feels a lot cooler than 60 degrees at home
