As Expected for Upstate NY

The weather is exactly what I assumed- we get snow and ice but it gets really gorgeous in the spring. The only part that pisses me off is when Campus Safety refuses to help students when their cars get stuck or when the sidewalks are poorly salted.

Won't Get It Unless You're a Minority

Skidmore gives aid to quite a few students, but if you're like me you wouldn't know it until you started talking to your peers. Skidmore approaches the application process with the state of mind that they want to accept people that don't need aid, but then to keep up with the diversity quota they give essentially full rides to dozens of minority and international students. Many of my friends fall into this category and I give them kudos for getting so much out of the system, but I do feel a little discriminated against.
