Modern, Comfortable and Affording
Some buildings on campus are beautiful and brand-new. While others are on the older side and have some problems. For the most part, every building is great with safety and security, cleanliness and level of ease to understand and follow. The rooms are cleaned extensively over Winter Break (6 weeks long between Thanksgiving and Christmas). Most campuses do not provide microwaves or refridgerators but DU does which is great. Every housing building is either close to a dining hall or has a dining hall within.

Diversity Schmiversity
The University of Denver, like any college campus, loves to appeal to every ethnicity and diverse culture and way of life, especially in their advertisements and information. However, for the most part, DU is 85% composed of your typical Upper and Middle class raised, white kids with some religious background or affiliation. Some diversity exists but there is not a big mixture of races or cultures among students. International students, mostly from Asian or Middle Eastern countries, tend to hang out with similar international students. Definitely room for improvement!

Typical for College Students
As a result of being located in Denver, Colorado, most students smoke marijuana. The use of other drugs is common too. The music scene is huge in Denver and as such, drug use with Ecstasy and Molly, etc are very common at music and concert events. However, being in Denver, most people are chill about individual's choices to not do drugs. There is not too much peer pressure unless you belong to certain groups of Friends, some use drugs more than others. And for the most part, policy enforcement is good. Drinking is more frequent but drugs are often present in social atmosphere.
