I wanted to know more about the Music Industry major. How are the classes like, and do you feel like you made the right choice for your major?

I don't have any knowledge of the Music Industry major.

Not knowing much about Temple, would you recommend a student who wants to major in nursing and minor in music, to go there, or at least visit?

Definitely. Temple has a top notch nursing program (i believe one of the most competitive and prestigious around), and an awesome school of music. I went to visit back in april (interested in the music department) and everyone i saw there seemed super happy and satisfied.

Absolutely. Temple's nursing program is awesome. Unlike other colleges that do 2 years in the school, 2 years in a hospital, Temple starts you off in a hospital from the very start(you'll make a few visits during your first year, and they increase each year). As for music, Temple's recognized for it's music program as well. Unfortunately, the minor has been discontinued this semester (but that could change). But it's still worth it to go there for nursing, and you can still take music courses without having to declare a minor(just put it in your resume)

Yes. From what i have heard, Temple has a great nursing program and an excellent music program. Temple will be your best bet considering the cost and kind or experience you will have. Choose temple

What is nursing (RN) like in Drexel, and are the classes enjoyable?

I'm not a nursing major so I can't answer this question.

How is social life like, and would it be

an easy transition for a freshman.

It would definitely be an easy transition for a motivated freshman. There is something for everyone, but it is up to you to take the initiative to become involved. There are many rec sports teams and extracurricular clubs.

There is always a ton to do on campus and it's very easy for freshmen to quickly assimilate into campus life. Rochester also has a pretty prominent greek system if that's what you're looking for.

Is there an advantage if i apply for honors during early admission? Also do they pay for your dorm?

Drexel automatically considers you for the honors program--you shouldn't apply separately. They do not pay for your housing, but you have the option of living in the Honors living and learning community in Millineum (residence hall). Most people complain about it, but it is the newest and nicest looking building on campus. Your cheapest route is to take a triple in Towers, but you have to live with two other people.

I would strongly suggest applying for the honors college. They do not pay for your housing; however, you will be given priority for class registration and have access to free events in Philadelphia.

Double Majoring

If taking Nursing RN and Music Industry has double majoring....would it be difficult?

It depends on your dedication to studying. Remember that Drexel runs on 11 week quarters. It may be difficult at times to be balancing a nursing degree (which some of the anatomy classes can be very difficult at times) with another major.

If u\you put your mind to it you can do it.

As long as you're willing to work hard then it is possible.

I would not know but I would think if this is what you want to do- why not?

That would be nearly impossible. My suitemate is RN and my roommate in Music Industry. They are in two very different colleges and both have very high work loads

At Drexel, double majors are only allowed within the same college, for example, I can major in Psychology and snother science or art.
