3 Person Rule
The availability of off-campus housing is awesome; the price range is generally more affordable than on-campus housing; landlords and quality are excellent. However, Williamsburg has an incredibly ridiculous piece of legislation called the "three person rule." Essentially, if more than 3 unrelated people are living together, it is considered an illegal brothel. It's a pain, seeing as most houses can comfortable room 7-8 people... also, the cops are sticklers about noise.

It Depends....
Honestly, drinking is a huge deal on campus. Drugs are pretty underground, and people don't get much wilder than weed. Take it as a positive or a negative-- William and Mary is essentially a drug free campus.

Tradition
William and Mary is all about tradition-- we have tons of events and organizations that are huge every year, just because they are a tradition!
