Computers at University of Denver

A

School of Education

I can only comment on the computers at the School of Education, since that's where I spend most of my time. We have a lab that has lots of computers, never have trouble getting one. There is also a printer there, which you can use for a fee, but grad students get money on their card for printing every quarter. The only slight complaint would just be that the lab isn't open that much on the weekends, which can be a pain if you don't pay to download some of the statistical programs on your personal laptop. This was a major reason why I decided to spring for that cost.

Not My Area of Expertise

I honestly don't really know a lot abou this... we do have a gym that's free for all students to use, which is nice, and the hours seem to be pretty good. It's usually busy, but they have a lot of machines, so you can usually find something to use. If I lived closer to campus, I would probably find it more convenient. They also have an indoor swimming pool for use which is nice too.

Don't Stay Near Campus

To be honest, there isn't as much stuff in the way of bars, restaurants, and stores as I would envision in a typical college area. The bar scene around campus doesn't seem very happening. I would recommend going outside the DU area, to Lodo or something like that, maybe Wash Park which is a cute area not too far from campus. I live in the Highlands area (NW Denver), which is a little further from campus, but overall a better value and much more fun area.
