Not the Best, Definitely Not the Worst
MHC is an interesting place to live in terms of dorms. The best dorms are obviously on the green but Ham/MacGregor aren't totally ugly either. Then there are some like 1837 and the Mandelles that nobody wants to live in because they're kind of tucked away from everything but they're pretty nice on the inside. As far as social atmosphere, there's definitely a sense of community but that's about it. Anywhere you go on campus, you'll see a familiar face or people around you greeting friends they haven't seen in a while which is comforting. Everyone on campus is pretty nice except when it comes to the housing lottery but that's a tough time for everyone who has any number higher than 150. The housing lottery is probably the most stressful thing besides exam weeks because if you get a high number you're almost guaranteed a spot in one of the most inconvenient dorms on campus.

Definitely Doable If You're Willing to Put in the Work
Nightlife at MoHo is fairly quiet. There's usually always a party in one of the dorms around the green but unless you live there or have a friend who lives there or is throwing it, you won't hear about it until later. That being said, most people hop on the PVTA for their weekend festivities. Without fail, the PVTA will roll around the stops on campus (usually 5-15 minutes late) and hoards of half-dressed girls will pile on, stumbling and teetering in their highest heels. But don't worry, there are the token girls who dress as though they're not trying to smash heading to the same parties. After making the seemingly endless ride that includes 2 stops at the Eric Carl Museum that always seems to be closed, you arrive in Amherst/the land of dreams. Most girls hop off at Amherst because of the proximity and hopes that they'll find their new boyfriend or husband. Then there are the more adventurous girls who head on down to UMass for the real fun. The downside of going to Amherst is obvious: Amherst girls don't want non-Amherst girls on their territory and most of the boys aren't looking to date or work too hard to interact with girls from other schools because they have enough of their own right at home. But MoHo girls love competition.

Excellent
Kendade is probably my favorite place on campus. Now I don't necessarily work out every day but when I do, I love it because I love walking into the building. It's very well constructed and inviting with tons of windows in front of the machines in case Sex and the City isn't on tv. Blanchard is also really nice. It's almost always full of people eating or just hanging out and you're guaranteed to see a familiar face every time you go. The library is fine. I don't go there much myself but when I have I enjoyed it and actually got work done. Behind the health center are the 'cultural' houses where the cultural student orgs meet like MHACASA (which everyone who's anyone joins or wishes they could join).

So Tame
The only drug I've seen on campus is weed but that's kept fairly quiet if you're not into that stuff. Alcohol is definitely prevalent on campus but there's never any pressure to drink.

Don't Be So Quick to Judge
The obvious thing that sets us apart is the fact that it's a women's college. Most people shy away from that but I personally always forget that it's only girls. The social scene is fine if you have a group of friends who have the same interests and expectations as you as far as how you want to spend your free time and weekends. We have alot of interesting events every week on campus which bring in a decent crowd. The CDC is amazing as far as helping upperclassmen with summer opportunities. Freshman aren't really a priority but that's to be expected so don't take it personally. You can always find some menial labor back home.

Not Really Existent
It's not really off-campus friendly because it's a small school so they try to keep everyone on campus for financial reasons. There are a few apartments slightly off-campus that seniors can get into which are okay.

SO DIFFERENT
It's so diverse on campus it's insane. No matter what race you are, there's a slim to no chance of you feeling like the minority which is a great feeling. There aren't really challenges that people have to overcome because everyone's either accepting or just concerned with themselves. Either way, anyone and everyone fits in here. As far as wealth, there are obviously people who have nice things and those damn Longchamp bags that cost too damn much but there are just as many people who either don't have the means or just aren't concerned with having expensive things. Politics aren't really my thing which is great because I rarely hear people talking about them. Any sexual orientation is accepted.

Uhhh
To be honest, I've gone to 2 games since I've been at MoHo. I heard the fans are great though and always cheer on their friends who are playing. As far as how good they are, it's D3 so I wouldn't expect to see and Lisa Leslies or Mia Hamms on the court or field. But everyone on the athletic teams seem to be good friends which is great if you're the type who views your team as a second family.
