Bronxville
Starbucks, CVS, lots of fairly pricey restaurants, a bookstore, another coffee shop--nice to get off campus to study there--nail salons, a few quirky bars, a small movie theater, some boutiques, nice to walk around but not the most useful or exciting. But Manhattan is so close it's not really an issue. People say the residents generally dislike Sarah Lawrence students, but I've never been mistreated for being one.

Not a Sporty School
You don't go to Sarah Lawrence because of its athletics. That being said, most of the teams are competitive in the division they're in, especially crew, boys' basketball, girls' tennis, and equestrian. Not many people go to games, but they're around if you want to watch and show your support. A great opportunity to try playing a sport you've never played before; no one who wants to play is turned away, generally speaking.

Sometimes Too Gloomy
Nice overall: a little humid at first, a beautiful fall, lots of snow, a beautiful spring, and back to a humid but nice beginning of summer. Full seasons, campus is beautiful when it snows. Sometimes it stays snowy and/or gloomy just a little too long, but usually it makes the arrival of spring all the more exciting.
