Fun for All Your Preferences
It doesn't matter if you 21+ or underaged. THe ames area provides to all your different preferences needs. If you prefer the bar/club scene there located along Welch St. many fun and fiesta bars to explore. If you want to hangout and do none related drinking activities Iowa State provide the fun activities of ISU after Dark which involves free movie showings, bingo, & so much more. There is always something fun to do at night on and off campus. The free transportation of Cyride makes traveling around Ames easy if you don't have a car. Also a lot of the places are walking distances apart.

Really There Is Know Need for a Car
Parking on campus is horrible. It is very hard to find a parking space. If you do have a car as a freshman you will have to walk to Jack Trice Stadium to park you car and walk that way everytime you want to use it. It is just easier to not have a car and use Cyride.

Iowa State provide the best of both worlds with high expectation in the class room, but has a great social life through long traditions in basketball, football, homecoming, & much more. The beauty of the campus and the midwestern charm of its students provides the home away from home any student wishes to have. Iowa State has a strong Greek Community that is actively involve on campus through student government, Dance Marathon Executive positions, & Destination Iowa State Leaders; just to name a few.
