California State University - Sacramento Overall Experience had a new discussion posted by ShawnMitchRyan

What is it like there ?

I would like to know more of a personal point of view on the campus life here. I love the warm weather but what else should i know about this college ? good and bad.

I love the weather here, and most of the people i've met have been friendly and helpful. I disagree that alot of the athletes should get babied, some don't even go to their classes. I also disagree with the housing and its food, its not very good and the rooms of some dorms are smaller than others when were all paying the same prices.

It's awesome! It is a great school, full of awesome professors. Being in the city it really seems to open a lot of doors for you. You'll love it!

This college is very diverse and offers a lot of extracurricular activities for its students. However, a lot of the old buildings and classrooms have aged and could use an upgrade.

This college is great if you want a no fuss college experience. It is not big on school spirit or anything like that because it is mostly a commuter college but it is great to go and just study and do classes.

I love the trees and the environment. On hot days, there is plenty of shade. I love how the campus is small and in one place instead of being spread out, it's like it's own world. I do wish there were better and healthier eating places!

moet teachers are really good the atmosphere here is great.

It is a big campus with lots of places to hang out at. There are lots of places that you could eat at and study.

The school is very social with lots of clubs and organizations to get involved with. If you like being involved with school politics and school social life then Sacramento is perfect.

The campus is beautiful with its scenery and the staff is helpful! However, every class is impacted and makes it impossible to obtain classes. This has the students here longer and paying more, the exact opposite of what I want and need to do.

The atmosphere is awesome. They have so many trees and it seems like you are at a park. This college has great teachers, that care about you learned. The bad, is that there are too many people at the school and not enough classes.

It has a beautiful campus. It is full of lush land full of trees and benches. Very calm and is right next to a river where you can walk across on a bridge.

The campus is beautiful; lots of trees and places to hang out. The library has never failed me, and there are a lot of selections on campus for eating and dining, as well as just hanging out (there are about 8 Java City cafes on the campus).

It's warm in the parking lot but a wind tunnel inside the campus. Wear short sleeves under your sweatshirt or jacket.

The teachers are nice and they have an awesome Japanese-language program. I also get a chance to learn some martial arts, though I wish there was archery. The only problem is the tuition fees. I feel like the dean is cheating us.

the teachers that I have had at this school are very nice and willing to help.

The school is really diverse. Students are really nice and all the staff members. You can get help from anyone, they would never say no and they always would try to help you with anything that you need.

i agree

Sac state is beautiful and had great professors. Lots to do on campus and close to it. I didn't consider any other option for my masters.

Sac State is a very nice and safe campus. The only downfall is that it is pretty big but other than that I really don't have a problem going there.

Its a good school they have all types of sports to go watch that are not bad. It has rebuild many building to make the campus look nicer too.

This college offers a very friendly environment. There are so many clubs and activities that'll give you the opportunity to meet new people.

The teachers are supportive and available to the students. Usually when I have a question about the material the teacher will make a point to stay after class or set up an appointment.

It's nice there. There are a lot of things to do on and off campus. There is almost always some time of program or club you can get involved in. The only problem is some are less known about than others. The weather is nice and tolerable.

The college is good, the weather is warm and nice, and if your a party type of person their is a lot of bars or hangouts.

People on campus are kind and very helpful. I have also heard that Sacramento State employs a larger percentage of students than any other campus in California.

The campus is nice and relaxing over all. I would definitely recommend that you join a greek organization to let you have the full college experience as well as networking for after college.

Its a beautiful campus, tons of stuff to do such as getting involved with clubs and sports activities. There is always lab centers available to research and do homework. Great variety of food places and always fun events going on campus.

I honestly love it, you can meet very nice people there. The campus it self is very nice.

Well this a commuter college so you cant really get the college experience if you don't join a organization. I recommend joining the Greek System.

The college is not bad and I would say there are things to do you just have to look around to see what's happening. There are lots of flyers telling you whats going on and if you see something interesting then give it a try.

Sac State is wonderful, if you are involved in your classes or around the campus you find that it gives you a family feeling. Even if you aren't involved in clubs your classes are small enough to meet new people to better your college experience.

It is in the middle of Sacramento and located next to the American River and the American River Parkway. The Parkway provides a beautiful place for a walk or run and is a great escape from class.

its said that its a commuter school because many students go back home on the weekends. Thursday is the party day.

Sac State is what i consider a commuter school. It is not your typical college town. The campus isnt a place where students hang out a lot.
