Campus Housing at Colorado College

Social Atmosphere and Dorm Life

Of the three main large dorms on the Colorado College campus, there is a continuum regarding social life. Mathias is known as the "party dorm," and I have heard it is hard to sleep there especially on the weekends. Slocum is known as the "Home of the Scholars" and is typically the most quiet of the dorms. It is also home to the substance-free wing. Loomis is a happy medium between Mathias and Slocum, with a lot going on but also enough quiet to get some sleep.

Diversity at Colorado College

Very Little Diversity at CC

The student population on the Colorado College campus is far from diverse. There is a large majority of white students, mostly from middle to upper class backgrounds. CC is known for being extremely Liberal politically, with a large number of students who have no religious preference.

Transportation at Colorado College

B-

Transportation at CC Is Average

Though transportation around campus is not really needed because of the small campus size of Colorado College and close proximity to downtown, public transportation is adequate around the city. Due to budget cuts, a lot of routes have been eliminated. There is a bus that runs multiple times daily to Denver, but it no longer runs on the weekends. There are occasionally buses that take students to sporting events or skiing on the weekends.
