Local Atmosphere at Northeastern University

The Wonderful World of Boston

Boston is full of fun things to do, interesting things to see, and cool people to meet. There is always something going on whether you are into parties, clubs, museums, or just hanging out with friends. With all the diversity and and activities, not to mention the fact that about one fifth of Boston's population is students, the atmosphere tends to the vibrant, young, and exciting. Most people are friendly, with a few exceptions. There are tons of places to shop ranging from extremely high end, designer stores, to the average stores you can find in most of America's malls. Even though its a city, there are still plenty of places to soak up nature, such as Boston Commons or numerous fields that one can go out and play a sport or do whatever. Boston is a wonderful city to be in.

Inside Scoop at Northeastern University

Northeastern Offers Unique Experiences

One very unique thing about my school is the co-op program. It allows students to explore certain career paths they may be interested in and decide whether they are interested or not. It also allows students to network more so that once they graduate, they have a foot in the door when looking for jobs. Overall it is a very unique and helpful aspect of my school. I also like that my school is in the middle of the city but still manages to have its own campus that is distinct from the city. So I can have the feel of college campus or the feel of the city depending on where I go.

Biology Is Awesome

I have not had much time to think about my major choice since I am only in my second semester at Northeastern and as a biology major, but so far I like it. So far I have been happy to have chosen to be a biology major. My classes are enjoyable as well as productive. They are challenging, engaging, and I believe will help me as I pursue my goals. I am not sure what career path I want to go on yet but I want to do something in the sciences. I do not have many concerns as of yet about finding a job.
