General Campus Aesthetics
UC Berkeley is a beautiful campus. Regal architecture and gorgeous pine-tree lined pathways with scampering squirrels adorn all parts of campus. The life sciences building is incredible- the dinosaur fossils and amazing biology exhibits are really impressive. The main library is immaculate and seems infinite. And of course, the Campanile (tower)'s charming bells and looming presence are awe-inspiring.

Drug Visibility
On any given day walking through campus, you are bound to smell marijuana somewhere. I'm not interested in frequent drug use, but even I have very easy access to mushrooms, ecstasy, etc. If I meet someone who hasn't at least smoked weed several times, it's a surprise.

Need for a Car on Campus
You do not need a car around Berkeley. Everything is walkable and when you want to go to the city you can take the Bart, which is a maximum 10 min walk from campus. Parking here is a bitch, don't do it.
