Campus Dining at College of Charleston

B-

Dining Halls

There are 2 main dining halls that your meal plan applies to, and in addition there is a food court(that includes Chick-fil-a, Quiznos, and Jole Mole) that you can use dining dollars at. The two main dining halls serve similar foods. There is a pizza line, a salad bar, and a sandwhich line at each of them. In Liberty Dining Hall, the larger of the two, has a stir fry line, a pasta line, some sort of ethnic food(usually Asian or Mexican), a "home cooked" line, and a fast food line. Cereal, bagels, waffles, and dessert are offered at all times during the day at both dining halls. The food is decent, some days are better than others. The best decision, if you are a freshman, is to get 15 meals/week to use at the two main halls and 100 dining dollars to use at Chick-fil-a or Quiznos. They tend to slack on variety on the weekends, so I would advice eating out or using dining dollars to eat.

Nightlife at College of Charleston

A+

Charleston Never Sleeps

Between rush parties, sorority/fraternity mixers, and bars there is always something to do at night. Campus is in the middle of downtown, so pretty much everything is in walking distance. Always happening parties and the music farm is close by if you like to attend concerts. Our school provides something called the cougar shuttle to transport students places between 11pm and 2am, no questions asked. Also, if you are unable to wait for the shuttle to pick you up, it is extremely easy to hail a taxi.

Transportation at College of Charleston

A

Walking Distance

Being in the heart of downtown Charleston allows you to walk to all of your classes, the library, and historic King Street shopping. Although, when warm weather hits EVERYONE wants to go to the beach for some sun. You need a car to get to the beach. I assume that taking a taxi the 20-20 min drive to the beach can be very pricey, so i suggest catching a ride with upperclassmen friends who have cars or taking a carta bus (its cheap, but the ride takes way longer than it should).
