Very Safe During the Day
There are plenty of emergency phones with bright blue buttons throughout campus. Common areas and parking lots are abundantly lit. However, some walking and building areas are completely dark and can be a little scary to navigate alone after sunset.

Strict Drinking Laws
Beware, the drinking laws are strictly enforced. U of U is a dry campus (although drinking has happened during fraternity parties before). ID laws are likewise very strictly adhered to. The school has Crimson Nights for students of all ages that include massages, free food, dancing, karaoke, etc.
