So Many Great Spaces
Dining is great, the library is one of the best I've ever seen, the gym has everything you could want, lots of student spaces (for food, entertainment, downtime, socializing, etc.). Also a great art gallery and other student-art spaces. Everywhere is beautiful, easily accessible, and comfortable. One of the greatest things about this place.

Fair and Rare
I honestly didn't even think I'd be able to afford college, and definitely not the most expensive college, but SLC financial aid stayed in touch with me and my family since I turned in my application about our options. In the end, I got an extremely fair financial aid package. Yes, college is expensive, but the school does everything in its power to be fair. The SLC aid package is not a scholarship completely based on merit. Rather, hey look at how much you need and do their best to assist you.

The Safest Place
Campus security is around enough to maintain a consistent presence but not be overbearing, and everyone at health services is incredibly kind and helpful. Sure, the College may lack some resources in its health service department, but that never holds a student back from getting the aid they need. They are extremely thorough and caring here, and you feel comfortable going up to health services or a security guard at anytime. And while the Yonkers side of campus has had some events that have made students question their public safety, it is important to note that the majority of campus is enclosed and bordering Bronxville (probably one of the safest towns ever) - and that, if anything, a walk around Yonkers (with a buddy, in a group) gives students a reality check on street smarts.

A healthy variety
The food at SLC is quality college dining hall food. Honestly students here don't appreciate how lucky we are. We always have vegetarian and vegan options, there is always a variety of meals at Bates (dining hall), and everything is made with quality and is health conscientious. The Pub is a great alternative, since it's hours are open late and those who work there are always extremely busy. Only complaint is that places get busy during peak hours. Smaller cafe-style are scattered around campus, such as in student centers or other facilities. The furtherst housing unit has its own mini-mart, which is fantastic because that housing unit also has kitchens. Many amazing perks to eating here.
