Small but Good
Meadville is small, there's no getting around that. But all the same it has quite a few good cafes and shops that are fun to go to with some friends. You don't need a car to get to them either. The college is also great about sponsoring events on campus. There's usually too much to do not too little.

Good on-Campus Housing
You are required to live on-campus for three years at Allegheny so the dorms are pretty good generally speaking. The all freshman dorm (Baldwin) is for those who like a crazy atmosphere. The mixed under/uperclassman dorms are all pretty average--the rooms aren't huge but there pretty nice. Everything is close except Ravine-its kind of a hike. For upperclassman theres also North Village I & II which are brand new, really nice apartment style dorms.
