Printers Often Out of Paper or Toner
There's not really a problem with computer availability in the labs (although sometimes it gets crowded in some depending on the time of day), but the biggest problem comes with trying to print things out. There have been days where I was late for class trying to print out an assignment on a printer that was out of toner. It's also inconvenient if the paper runs out in the middle of printing when you're in a rush. Laptops are not necessary but very convenient, especially since it's not uncommon for there to be loud people in the labs.

Diversity Lower Than It Looks
I thought it was interesting that in one undergraduate research project, students tended to overestimate the number of people of different races as students and faculty. While there are definitely other races present, the majority of students are white.

Not Bad If You Have the Right Expectations
Valpo isn't bad as long as you aren't expecting large parties or a very large campus in general. It's a small school with fairly strong academics, a nice student-to-faculty ratio, and a generally friendly environment. A frequent complaint is that there's not a lot to do, which I do understand from time to time, but a lot of it depends on finding the kind of people who like going out. It's not my ideal college experience, but it fits well enough.
