Wine Country Dining
Due to the prevalence of wine tourism in Walla Walla, the Main Street area just off campus has lots of very good restaurants. Looking for local fare? Try Graze. For a more upscale bistro? Go for Olive. There's no shortage of restaurants, the only shortage you might find is in your wallet. Since the restaurants primarily cater to wine tourists, they can be fairly expensive. This doesn't put the dining out of reach, it just makes you think twice before going too much.

House Parties and Fraternity Functions
The primary drinking parties on campus take place at houses rented by students (always within 3 blocks of campus) and the fraternities. Luckily, it's never a far walk back home from any of these parties. Neither of these two activities are exclusive. Fraternity functions always open to the general campus around 11 and house parties are usually open as well. There's plenty to do that doesn't involve drinking, though. First of all, many students who don't drink go to the aforementioned parties. Students can often be found on Friday and Saturday nights hanging out in residence halls, playing music, watching movies on the residence hall's projector or playing any of the many games that each res hall provides. Hardly anybody spends these nights without anything to do.
