The "scene" depends on who you befriend. I find that the students either go out every night with their fake IDs and come back screaming drunk at 4am OR they never go out and would prefer to stay in and read on a Friday night. There really isn't an in between.

Denver's Uniqueness

DU (The letters are flipped. It isn't UD and people are very defensive about it) stresses their active campus and large minority population. Neither of these are true. The "active" side is really only three major clubs (Alpine - for frat bros and sororihoes, DUPB - socially active kids, and Young Life - religion). I personally am not a member of any and do not feel compelled to. I joined cooking club, board game club, and signed up to write for the Clarion. All of them are cliquey and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. As for minorities, about 5/100 kids in a class are either black or asian. There is the occasional 40 year old arab. That is it. Also, the administration (NOT professors. The professors are incredible) is absolutely useless. Good luck getting a response to an email. If you do, the responder will avoid answering your question at all costs. And HOUSING SUCKS.
