Freshmen Housing
Freshmen don't get much of an option of where they live. Every freshman lives on North Campus, which is nice, it provides a sense of community. Most people live in the dorms. Some dorms are better than others, but all pretty good. Then there is program housing, which you can apply to if you want, but some people get thrown in there without choice.

Greeks
I feel that there are a lot people at Cornell that are a part of Greek Life. I have friends that are and aren't a part of Greek Life. Most people live in their fratnerity or sorority, at least one year. Greek Life definitely dominates the social scene.

Beer and Weed
Drugs and alcohol are definitely relevant. Mostly weed for drugs. If you are looking for it, you can find it, but otherwise it's not huge. I have never felt pressure to drink. Usually you have to find the alcohol at a party if you want some. It is pretty easy to avoid drinking, plus most other people are too drunk to notice that you aren't drinking.
